Principal Helen Yang · 杨月梅 校长
Helen Yang is the heart of Zhong Shan Chinese School. With 25+ years of teaching and school-leadership experience, she has guided the school and mentored its teachers for decades — all out of a lifelong devotion to Chinese language and culture. She teaches Mandarin across every level, champions cultural education and the school's performing-arts programs — from Mandarin to music, dance and Chinese culture. Warm, tireless and endlessly encouraging, she has shaped generations of learners and built a faculty that truly teaches from the heart.杨月梅（Helen）校长是中山中文学校的灵魂人物。她拥有 25 年以上的教学与办学管理经验，几十年来带领学校、培养师资，只因对中文语言与文化始终如一的热爱。她教授各等级中文，倡导文化教育，推动学校的文艺与表演项目——从中文到音乐、舞蹈与中华文化。她温暖、勤勉、总是不吝鼓励，培养了一届又一届学生，也带出一支真正用心教学的团队。
Renee Xu
Renee is an educator who runs on curiosity — she loves teaching, loves inventing new ways to learn, loves being right in the thick of it with her students, and positively lights up whenever there’s a tricky problem to crack. Over 7+ years she has taught Chinese to everyone from wide-eyed four-year-olds to lifelong learners of 75 — two years of private tutoring, five years at Zhong Shan, plus four years as an instructional assistant (IA) for a Computer Science game-design class at the University of Houston, where she learned that the best lessons feel a little like play. She teaches Chinese on weekends purely out of a love for cultural exchange. Fluent across the whole HSK ladder and the AP Chinese exam, she has coached students to a perfect 5 on AP Chinese and guided many to pass every HSK level with distinction.徐老师是一位被好奇心"充电"的老师——热爱教育、热爱创新、热爱和学生们泡在一起，一遇到棘手的难题就两眼放光、越战越勇。7 年多来，她教过从 4 岁的小不点到 75 岁的终身学习者：两年私人辅导、五年中山中文学校任教，另有四年在休斯顿大学担任计算机游戏设计课助教（IA）——也让她笃信：最好的课堂，都藏着一点游戏的乐趣。她周末教中文，纯粹出于对文化交流的热爱。她精通各级 HSK 与 AP 中文考试，曾指导学生 AP 中文取得满分 5 分，并帮助多名学生以优异成绩通过各级 HSK。
Ms. Yee
A Chinese teacher since 2014, Ms. Yee brings 11 years of online and in-person experience across preschool, elementary, middle/high school and adult classes. Her teaching is flexible and multimedia-rich; she explains ideas simply, loves getting students talking, and believes practical expression and cultural understanding should grow hand in hand. She previously served as vice principal at a Chinese school in California. She currently teaches the Adult Intermediate class (New Concept 4) and Children's Grade 5 (New Target Chinese 3).叶老师自 2014 年起从教，拥有 11 年线上线下经验，教过学前班、小学、初高中及成人班。她教学灵活、擅长多媒体辅助，讲解深入浅出，善于与学生沟通互动，强调实用表达与文化学习齐头并进，鼓励学生多实践多练习。她曾在加州一所中文学校担任副校长。现教授成人中级班（《新概念》4）与儿童五年级（《新目标汉语3》）。
Ms. Chen
Ms. Chen came to the United States to study in 1989, and after earning her master's degree she has worked in the field of transportation planning and design. She has joined many Chinese-culture projects and singing competitions and serves as a Chinese Culture Ambassador in the Houston area. With 10+ years of teaching experience she specializes in children and teenagers, bringing her passions for Chinese education and travel into every lesson.陈老师于 1989 年赴美求学，取得硕士学位后一直从事交通规划与设计工作。她参与过许多中文文化项目与歌唱比赛，是休斯顿地区的中华文化大使。拥有 10 年以上教学经验，擅长儿童与青少年教育，把对中文教育与旅行的热爱融入每一堂课。
Ms. Duan
Born and raised in Beijing, Ms. Duan brings authentic, standard Mandarin and a natural feel for everyday Chinese to her classroom. An English major by training, she began teaching English in 2020 and now has 4+ years of Chinese teaching experience. She teaches multiple levels and has a real gift for making pronunciation and tones finally click. Warm and encouraging, she weaves in the customs, food and stories of the capital, so students absorb not just the language but the living culture behind it.段老师土生土长于北京，带来纯正标准的普通话和地道的生活用语。她本科毕业于英语专业，2020 年起教授英语，如今已有 4 年以上中文教学经验。她教授多个级别，尤其擅长帮学生攻克发音与声调。她亲切鼓励，常把北京的风土人情、美食与故事融入课堂，让学生学到的不只是语言，更是背后鲜活的文化。
Ms. Amy
Amy is our Grade 2 Chinese teacher, with eight years of experience across grades K–6. A lover of literature, history and music, she teaches through play — and her students' growth is her greatest joy. She uses the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) curriculum, an international standard for young learners.Amy 是学校二年级中文老师，拥有八年教学经验，教授 K–6 年级。她热爱文学、历史与音乐，寓教于乐，孩子们的成长与进步就是她最大的快乐！采用国际标准化的少儿中文考试（YCT）教材。
Ms. Guo
Dr. Guo has devoted her career to teaching and researching Chinese language and culture. A former Project Assistant Professor who lectured in both English and Chinese, she teaches simplified and traditional characters and the Pinyin system with ease. She mentored adult learners from her master's years, went on to earn a PhD, and has continued teaching and research in the U.S. She especially loves sharing Chinese history with students of every background. She currently teaches an Adult Level-0 online class, guiding true beginners from Pinyin to confident listening, speaking, reading and writing.郭老师（博士）多年投身中文语言与文化的教学与研究，曾任项目助理教授，中英双语授课，精通简繁体字与拼音教学。她自硕士阶段起指导成人学习者，后取得博士学位，并在美国持续教学研究。她尤其喜欢与不同背景的学生分享中国历史，鼓励学生用拼音正音、查字典扩词、大量阅读。现教授成人零基础线上班，带零起点学生走向扎实的听说读写。
Mr. Will
By training Will holds a master’s in finance — but his heart lives in verse. A lifelong lover of the language, he has spent years happily lost in classical Chinese, ancient prose and poetry, treating a well-turned line the way others treat a great song. With 2+ years of teaching experience, he brings the music and wit of 古文 into the classroom, so students don’t just decode old characters — they fall a little in love with them too.Will 老师是一位财经硕士，骨子里却住着一个诗人。他是资深中文迷，多年沉醉于古文、诗词与辞赋之美，遇到一句好诗，就像别人听到一首好歌一样两眼放光。拥有 2 年以上教学经验，他把古文的韵律与妙趣带进课堂，让学生不只是"看懂"汉字，更会不知不觉爱上它们。
Mr. Rob
A CPA by profession, Mr. Rob is a history and politics buff who fell in love with the Chinese language and never looked back. He teaches classical Chinese (古文) and Chinese history, connecting the dots between ancient texts, the stories behind them, and the forces that shaped a civilization. His lessons turn characters into context — students don't just read the words, they understand the world those words came from.Rob 老师是一位注册会计师（CPA），也是不折不扣的历史与政治迷，因热爱中文而与中文结缘。他教授中文古文与中国历史，善于把古文、典故与背后的历史脉络串联起来。他的课让汉字有了温度与背景——学生不只是读懂文字，更能读懂文字背后的那个世界。

Ms. Helen
With 20 years of Chinese folk dance, Ms. Helen brings grace, discipline and joy to the studio. She helps students of every age discover the beauty of traditional dance — and the confidence that comes from performing on stage.Helen 老师拥有 20 年民族舞经验，把优雅、纪律与快乐带进舞蹈课堂。她帮助各年龄段的学生领略传统舞蹈之美，也在一次次登台中收获自信。
Ms. Wang
Ms. Wang teaches both folk and modern dance with 4+ years of experience. Energetic and creative, she blends traditional Chinese movement with contemporary style, making every class fun, expressive and full of life.王老师教授民族舞与现代舞，拥有 4 年以上经验。她充满活力与创意，把传统中国舞与现代风格融合，让每堂课都生动而富有表现力。
Mr. Changhong
Mr. Changhong leads our painting and fine-arts classes, guiding students to observe, imagine and create. He nurtures technique and imagination together, letting young artists express themselves freely on paper and canvas.长虹老师主持绘画与美术课程，引导学生观察、想象与创作。他既重技法也重想象力，让小小艺术家在纸上与画布上自由表达。
Ms. Gan
Ms. Gan teaches art and music with 2+ years of experience, bringing color and melody together. She loves helping children explore their creativity across both the visual and musical arts.甘老师教授绘画与音乐，拥有 2 年以上经验，让色彩与旋律相遇。她乐于带孩子在视觉与音乐艺术中探索创造力。
Ms. Yue
Ms. Yue is our vocal-music teacher with 5+ years of experience. In a warm, encouraging setting she teaches singing technique, breath and expression — helping every student find their own voice.岳老师是我们的声乐老师，拥有 5 年以上经验。她在温暖鼓励的氛围里教授歌唱技巧、气息与情感表达，帮助学生唱出自己的声音。
